‘Nakhl Gardani’ on Imam Ali (AS) martyrdom anniversary

People in Yazd have marked the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) with the traditional ritual of ‘Nakhl Gardani’.

Held on the 21st of the holy month of Ramadan, the martyrdom anniversary of the first Shia Imam, people in Yazd carried ‘Nakhl’ as a symbol of the coffin of the Imam, which is used during his symbolic mourning rituals.
